The "Dickens" you say...

Williams Mill artists will be participating in the Dickens Plus event.
A Celebration of Charles Dickens And Victorian Times in Glen Williams on Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26. Celebration begins 6 p.m. on Friday at the Williams Mill followed by a murder mystery, Who Murdered the Reeve? at various locations around the village. Tickets, $5, (not suitable for children under 14). A Chicken Barbecue will be held on Friday at St. Alban's Parish Hall 537 Main Street Glen Williams, 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 adult and $6 child. Tickets are available at church, 905-877-8323 or at Sports Unlimited, 170 Guelph St., 905-877-5546. Saturday will feature a vintage car show at Beaumont Mill plus street vendors, entertainers and more throughout the day around the village. For details contact Bryan Turner, 905-877-6421. Also, the Halton Woodcarving Club will be hosting a silent auction, 7-9 p.m. on Friday, and 12-5 p.m. on Saturday in the woodcarving studio located in the Williams Mill Visual Art Centre in Glen Williams.
