Williams Mill sculptor in the news again...


The Williams Mill has long been known to have some of the best artists in Canada maintaining their studios here but one in particular is quietly gaining the attention of discerning art buyers. Michael Young, a long time resident of Oakville, Ontario has been chosen by that town to create the individual art pieces that will be presented to the Oakville Community Spirit Award winners. Studio 5 at the Colour and Form Society Juried Show




Eileen Millen took the top Sculpture Prize at the Colour and Form Annual 57th Annual Juried Show taking place at the Etobicoke Civic Centre at Burnhamthorpe and Highway 427. Her excellent soapstone head called “Autumn” garnered a lot of interest.

Michael Young from Stone Sculptors' Studio 5 with “Green Talk”, Irene Sirko with “Ice Cream Cone” and Diane Leslie with “Repose” were all accepted into the show. Both Irene and Diane created their pieces in Studio 5.

The Exhibition is on until January 8th 2010.

Stone Sculptors 5th Anniversary Exhibition

















































































Celebrating their 5th anniversary at the Williams Mill stone sculptors Mary Ellen Farrow, Mike Young, and Eileen Millen are pleased to present 3 + 3 in the Gallery. Invited guest artists are Shirley Erskine, Michael Stamper, Brian Smith, and the Medallic Society of Canada.
