Marlene Madole CSPWC Watercolour Painting at Waterworks

Watercolourist Marlene Madole is teaching techniques for painting the north Georgian Bay shoreline at the Water Works Water Media and Watercolour in the Nation's Capital. The Joy of Clay. Register for Art Classes with Carol-Ann Michaelson

Experience the joy of working with clay, and being taught by the talented Carol-Ann Michaelson. The ceramic work of Carol-Ann is collected internationally, and you may have admired it recently at such shows as the Moose Show and Art in Action. Here's what's new for in Carol-Ann's 2011 teaching schedule -

Summer 2011

Printmaking & Painting Workshops

PRINTMAKING WORKSHOPS

Learn how to create beautiful “printed paintings” using the watercolour monotype process with award winning artist & printer, Marg Peter O.S.A. S.C.A.

Painting is done directly on a Plexiglas plate. The image is then transferred onto acid free paper by hand pressure or a printing press. A uniquely satisfying process and result.


ONE DAY WORKSHOPS $150


All supplies provided but you’re welcome to bring your own brushes and watercolour paints

1. BASIC Painted images of your favorite subjects are printed on acid free paper.

2. IMPASTO Use a palette knife to create the image on the plate

PAINTING WORKSHOPS


ACRYLIC: TEXTURED ABSTRACTS & LANDSCAPES $150

Use a variety of medium, tissue paper & cheesecloth to create your favorite images which, when dry, are painted with layers of acrylic. Bring your favorite colours.

Room rental now available at the MIll

Studio M8 is now available for rental for classes or meetings. It is available to anyone in the community for arts related activities. T he rental day has been divided into to 3 sections; morning 8 am to 1 pm, afternoon 1 pm to 6 pm, and evening 6 pm to 11 pm.

Rates for rental are as follows:
Any one period: $20
2 consecutive periods (e.g. 8 am to 6 pm, or 1 pm to 11 pm) $38
Any 3 consecutive periods (e.g. 8 am though 11 pm) $50.

The room may be booked for a period of up to 10 weeks. Booking is through the Gallery and keys may be signed out at the Gallery. The Gallery is open from noon to 5 Wednesday through Sunday. Please arrange to pick up and return the keys during those hours.
